A liberal sent me a link to this site. It's amazing which are the historical events liberals would most like to erase.
1.The Destruction of Alexandria's Great Library (most votes. I can definitely see the historical importance, but doubt I would have that as my top pick!)
2.Elian Gonzalez and the Butterfly Effect.
4. Hitler, Berchtold, Constantine. (Hitler would be an easy choice, but then they make Constantine part of the choice?)
7. Erase the advent of agriculture (Serious?? Why don't they just wish the big bang never happened? I guess some how in their twisted minds they just know without agriculture they would be doing just fine.
surprised no one has commented on the top choices of liberals that I listed.
One historical event?
That’s easy. The ending of the Christmas Truce in 1914 and resumption of WWI.
If both sides (both Christian) had simply stopped fighting that senseless war when they had the chance, think of the consequences:
No Soviet Union
No Nazi Germany
No Hitler
No Stalin
No WWII
No Holocaust
No spread of Communism
No Communist China
No North Korea
No Korean War
No Vietnam War
No Pol Pot
And so on.
the birth of the half breed
the south losing the civil war
While the importation of slaves was made illegal in 1808, I sincerely doubt the practice actually ended.
The death of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln would have used his political clout to lessen or stop the dreaded effects and Reconstruction. The nation may have get along together more quickly.
Those Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl wins.
Definitely the birth of Mohammad, nothing else would have changed the world for the best throughout most of human history than if that nut had never been born.
It seems to me that much of the destruction of America can be traced to "civil rights" arguments stemming from slavery. I often wonder what our society would be like if we never had slaves in the US. Unfortunatetly, we did and have suffered for it ever since.
It's almost like some sort of Greek tragedy, with America as the great hero, but with a fatal flaw from birth that will be its ultimate downfall.
FDR.
Florida hiring Will Muschamp.
The decision to import slaves from Africa to the USA.
Seconded ... the result of the Civil War.
That's where all the trouble started. Seeing as liberalism is a manifestation of the sin nature of man, if the fall hadn't occurred, there would be no Democrat Party (or any other wicked thing).
Agreed. We know the free world survived Hitler, despite the high cost. There is no indication that the free world will survive Obama, and I suspect if we survive the cost will be much higher than WWII. While the election of a totalitarian communist in the United States is a symptom of fundamental deterioration in our country, it is a dreadful symptom, and I would be thrilled if we could have avoided it. If I could somehow change the past, I'd pay a high price (cheerfully taking on Ebola, or giving up both legs, for example) for my country to be able to avoid this disaster.
more people have been killed in the name of Marxism than all the religions of the world, so I would have Karl Marx never born as my choice.

Keep Abraham away from Hagar.
