I don’t understand Indians being offended by schools and teams being named after them. I always thought it was an honor and because the Indians were admired. Why would a school call themselves The Braves if they wanted to dis honor the Indians?

My husbands high school in Houston that he graduated from in 1954, was the Lamar Redskins. Not anymore, this year it was changed because it offended someone somewhere.
