Maybe it was thirsty.
A coyote scampered back and forth across the roof of a Long Island City bar on Monday, as stunned locals gawked at their wild neighbor.
He didnt pay his bar tab, so he ran out onto the rooftop, quipped L.I.C. Bar owner Brian Porter.

I think he’s really enjoying it. Plus, he looks very well fed.

He looks healthy and well fed. City life must agree with him.

Exactly the first thing to come to mind after seeing the photo.
Just wait till the pack gets to Central Park.

The video is worth watching.
The coyote escaped from animal control officers into the adjacent empty building. Animal control coming back next day. Where’s the pack?

From an older story....**A 1-year-old coyote, which led authorities on a two-day chase through Central Park is spotted on some rocks near the water. The wily coyote, nicknamed Hal because he was spotted near the Hallett Nature Sanctuary, was finally taken down by an NYPD sharpshooter's tranquilizer dart this morning and is expected to be taken to an upstate wildlife center.**
I can't believe they don't just dispatch the dang thing!

"I'll tell you one thing, he was well-fed," Porter told the Daily News. "He wasn't one of the scrawny coyotes I've seen in my time." He suspects the coyote was living in a vacant building next door and hopped through an open window onto the roof. "He escaped two police officers, and he jumped on the roof adjacent to me and then jumped through the window" of the vacant building, Porter said, adding "he's still at large."
A chilling message. He's still at large. How do you lose a coyote in an urban city? If we can't track a wild animal through a concrete grid, what hope have we? None, I fear. The end is nigh.
