Probably not. They most likely will not be discussing much Android on the Windows list, and you will not be able to change much on your Windows school/work computer. If you are at all interested in installing a Windows instance on your Mac either in BootCamp or in a Virtual Machine, then yes, I would recommend joining. However, given what you've told me, there probably will not be much of use for you in the Windows/Microsoft ping list.
You would still be able to come onto a Windows thread and ask a question if you need to about something for your School/work Windows machine and I am sure you'd get an answer from the many fine Freeper members of the list without being a ping list member, just as other Freepers come on to FR and ask Apple Mac questions and get answers without being members of the Apple list.

Good advice, I concur with Swordmaker on his points. Of course, if you do find you're spending more time searching for Windows-related threads than you would spend deleting superfluous pings, you're welcome to join and see if it's better or worse! :)
Joining and dropping ping lists is a "No-Harm, No-Foul", offense-free operation as far as I'm concerned.
