What a day! And a night to follow.
Wifey busted right ankle up real good, tripped and ended up with multiple broken bones and a dislocated ankle to boot.
Surgery is on for tonight 9ishPT or so.
Say one for our nation too.
Thanks!
Hope all is well and you two will stay safe.
Prayers that it went well.
Prayer coming your way. God please guide all the care givers.
Prayers sent.
She had the same thing, now has two plates eight screws.
My challenge today is make hospital bed arrangements and get ready at home. She will stay one more day which gives me some time.
Lord Jesus Christ, our Healer and Savior, ease the suffering of Thy servant and grant her complete healing. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost, amen.
All went well. Two hours or so in OR. 2 plates, 8 screws.
She will stay one more day so a therapist can brief her on what lies ahead recovery wise.
Thanks to all for your prayers!
May God bless you both. (You need them as well, since you will be taking care of everything). My husband had to be my caretaker a year ago when I had a huge shoulder surgery. I feel sorry for him now. I couldn’t even dress myself.
Thanks for the update, Norm.
Prayers up for both of you.
Thanks for the update, Norm.
Great to hear everything went well, both of you will be in our thoughts. Our daughter broke one of the bones in the same place and a plate was put in, she had a full recovery and is fine.
The surgeon said she can go home so its gonna be real interesting for a few days. The doc seemed pleased with his work. Fingers crossed.
Ouch! I just prayed for her and you and her doctor and will again, tonight.
Appreciate the update. I can only compare a broken wrist...but I could still walk.. She will be very sore for at least a week...pain meds are a necessary evil and she/you need to sty ahead of the pain; don’t try to tough it out. I hope you can get some assistance with visiting nurses and/or family. Access to a ‘high-hat’ toilet seat or one with grab bars would help, as will a recliner, if available. I will keep praying; breaking a bone like that is a miserable experience.
Prayers up !
I’m so glad that she’s all right. It must have hurt like the dickens!
Prayers sent. Speedy recovery too.
Update:
Monday. She’s home, got released yesterday afternoon.
She was an 8 pain-wise, now a 6 and hopefully a 5 soon. :-)
She’s a trooper. Them needles was big ones but she held up well.
She is just happy to be on her own bed with the poodles.
She’s getting visitors too,, which is good for the dogs too.. ;-)
I am running around a lot..
I’m so glad to hear that she’s home and with the poodles! :)
What an ordeal! Thanks so much for the update, Norm. Lots of good wishes going your way and your wife’s during her recovery period. :)
Thanks! She may be recovered before the next FReepathon!
