Yesterday I saw the 1999 movie, The Suburbans on the tube. It was supposed to be a comedy and I thought it might be funny because Ben Stiller was in it. How wrong I was. It was beyond horrible. It turns out that the nobody actor, Donal Lardner Ward, in the lead role also wrote and directed the movie. Fortunately almost nothing has been heard of him since.
So as a public service, please list the WORST movies you've seen in the past year so we know not to waste our time on them.

Divergent was laughably bad, and the whole time I just wanted to slap Ashley Judd.

What was wrong with that? I did notice Charmine didn’t sponsor it.

The one with Christopher Lee on TCM? My favorite is the MST3K version

I knew I couldn’t see Reacher (although I love every book) because in my mind I’d see Cruise squeaking out “ Bend down here so I can twist your head off”.

the 6 3 Reacher
I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but I thought it was laughably cliché in the book(s) to have the hero be yet another big ol' "He-Man: Masters of the Universe" type. Having a smaller man play Reacher showed a lot more toughness ("It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.") which made the character both more real and more impressive.
(Spoiler alert)
Of course, the whole, 'throw the rifle away and fight the bad guy with your bare hands' scene at the end was even more laughable. They take the time to show a guy who is ruthless enough to take out 5 guys through pure do-whatever-it-takes attack (a kick to the crotch, etc.) and then he wants to fight a noble-knights battle while the girl is still helpless in the hands of people who have demonstrated they are willing to kill half a dozen people to hide one targeted murder? Stupid.

***You had to see (and hate) Moulin Rouge first, ***
Which version 1952, which I liked.
or
2001 version which I hated.

The first time I watched “The Hobbit” I fell asleep 1/2 hour in to it. The second time, I fell asleep 1 hour in to it. I woke up and it was still going. I did not attempt a third viewing.

Eraser Head... it was so weird I kept watching it to see if there was any sane explanation of the plot...there wasnt.Thanks. I started watching it, twice so far, because of the cult status, but gave it up after fifteen minutes for the same reason.

Yeah, the actor who played Francisco was way too old.He looked like Galt’s grandfather!
Hopefully they will be able to do a tv series. IIRC, Rand thought a miniseries would be the way to do it, and she thought Farrah Fawcett would be a great Dagny!!!

The 2001 version which was also by Gatsby's Baz Luhrmann. Once you got used to 19th century Parisians getting down to Kurt Cobain's and Patti LaBelle's grooves, even if you hated the movie, you probably wouldn't be surprised or disappointed or shocked by Luhrmann's Gatsby. Think of it as an opera or ballet which didn't have to exactly reproduce the precise details of 1920s life to get its point across.

Loved Jack Reacher Movie also till that point you mention. So CLICHE.
I saw that scene and just cringed when he threw the gun away.
Same thing happened when I first watched a new TV series called Firefly. Was loving the whole Cowboys in Space and really good characters and excellent dialog...
The this scene: Firefly the Negotiator came up and the whole let the bad guy go after he threatens to hunt you down and kill you while you have him bound and kneeling at your feet part came on and I just said no no no you have done so well don't do it! Then bamo and I actually jumped off the couch and did a double fist pimp and screamed YES THAT IS HOW YOU DO THAT!!!
I've been a fan of Josh Weedon ever since!

The Mocking Jay Part 1. I liked it. I plan on seeing the final one when it comes out. I didn’t care to see so much of Julianne Moore and her Gloria Steinam hotness. It’s funny how so many feminist actresses equate wooden performances with with female leadership.

Not this year, but the worst movie EVER filmed was, Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? Any movie with Jacqueline Bissett in it can't be all that bad.
To: stylin19a
I thought “Zoolander” was pretty good. No other movie I have seen Stiller in was any good at all.
He did get a really pretty girl to marry him.
