Some things in life are just too good to handle.
Quincy Kroner had that exact feeling on March 13 when he met his local heroes -- the neighborhood garbage men, Mark Davis and Eddie Washington. The Cincinnati 2-year-old has been fascinated by the garbage truck since about the age he could walk, the toddlers father, Ollie Kroner, told The Huffington Post in an email. But this was the first time he met the garbage men in person, and it was all too much for him -- resulting in the adorably priceless photo above.
He was all smiles as the garbage truck pulled up. I asked him if he wanted to take his [picture] with them, and he gave an eager yes, Kroner told HuffPost. But I think his nerves set in when the loud truck was right there in front of us.

Must be a VERY slow news day...
When we were kids, my younger brother wanted to be
a garbageman.
He figured they only worked on Tuesdays......
Wait till he gets indoctrinated in the classroom.
Kinda reminds me of the old ‘Limelighter’ song, “The Ballad of Max Goolis”.
When we were kids in the summer, two favorite things:
Follow the garbage truck on our bikes and follow the mosquito spray truck on our bikes.
Then he’ll want to join Greenpeace.
My mother told me when I was very little that if I didn’t behave, the garbage man would put me in the truck and take me away...
I would hide whenever they came by...
And they got to ride on the back of the truck.
Hell yeah we all wanted to be garbagemen. I was fortunate enough to see the final days of the milkman and that one ranked right up there with the garbageman.
I actually was a garbageman for a while.
But if the garbage collectors went on strike, the city would be shut down in less than a week. There was no plan B.
He did mention that a few clever individuals did get their garbage collected during the last strike by buying rolls of wrapping paper from Saks 5th Avenue and other trendy stores, wrapping it neatly and putting it in their cars which they left unlocked.
My cousin’s husband is a garbage man and his son followed in his footsteps. They both absolutely love their jobs.

Ditto. Yeah you and pals were on your own all day long. That DDT smelled kind of good too. That was before helicopter parents and a country that became nannified and conditioned to be petrified of something.
The pay is decent and the work is considerably easier than it used to be.
Garbage PICK UP IS CRITICAL WORK.
WE FAIL TO APPRECIATE THE SERVICE THEY DO FOR ALL OF US.
I am thankful for their service.
I’m especially thankful I don’t live in a city and I have a half dozen free market choices of trash disposal services.
When he was about that age, my older son wanted to be a garbageman. He liked the idea of riding around, hanging off the side of a truck.
An important life lesson.
And congrats to the kid for being potty trained at 2!
When my son was little he loved the garbage truck too. He would call all trucks “Gar-cuck”. I guess his word for garbage truck.
When I was little, I remember those awesome garbage men. They had those huge cans that they filled up with everyone’s household garbage. Then they would tip it on it’s bottom edge and spin it to the next house - a little roll of the hand around the rim would get it rolling. I thought that was amazing.
As kids we would also chase after the DDT trucks inhaling the noxious fumes. Such fun.
