Can you give the reason for using distilled water?

minerals in regular water will adhere to the plates and will weaken battery.

minerals in water,city not great,worse well, will shorten the life of the bat.....crap builds up between plates quicker.

Not good

Same reason you have to decalcify your coffee pot.

Use distilled water in irons, steamers, and when cleaning your coffee pot. Distilled water is made from steam. After all the water is boiled away what’s left is the crud that screws appliances up. Tastes good too.

Always use distilled water in a battery. Any minerals, chlorine, or other impurities will interfere with the chemical ion exchange between the two battery plates.
