WASHINGTON President Obama said he has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the Israeli leaders remarks in the closing days of his re-election campaign had upended the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and ran counter to the very nature of Israeli democracy, an unusually forceful and public condemnation of the top official of a vital United States ally.
In his first public comments on the matter since Mr. Netanyahus victory in Tuesdays elections, Mr. Obama said the prime ministers pre-election statement that there would be no Palestinian state on his watch had all but foreclosed the chance for negotiations to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I indicated to him that given his statements prior to the election, it is going to be hard to find a path where people are seriously believing that negotiations are possible, Mr. Obama said in a videotaped interview with The Huffington Post conducted on Friday and released on Saturday.

What peace process?
The one where Lerner gives US taxpayer money
for bombs, rockets, and tunnels
to rape, execute, and enslave?
That peace process?
To be undertaken from the demilitarized Gaza?
That peace process?
With this dude in office, the buck doesn’t even slow down.
That's because 'negotiations' have always been impossible. The Islamists want Israel to cease to exist. Period, end of negotiations. There is no two state solution, jug ears.
...if there is, b. hussein obama will employ it.
I wonder what Obama said after Netanyahu replied, "good!"
I think everyone understands that there can never be peace, as in coexistence without violence. Therefore they named the ongoing “negotiations” the peace process. It is a fiction, maintained for liberal political fantasies.
That "peace process"?
And Bibi said either, "right back at you", or "you started it".
That’s perfect....
Israel is the only nation in the world that can't let its citizens build houses on its territory, and who's leader can't speak freely unless other leaders give their permission.
I don’t write the headlines or this would have been, “Punk hollers ‘yo momma’ after epic fail at knockout game against old Jewish special forces badass with the wind at his back.”
...said he has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the Israeli leader's remarks in the closing days of his re-election campaign had upended the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and ran counter to the very nature of Israeli democracy, an unusually forceful and public condemnation of the top official of a vital United States ally.IOW, the lying liberal media shill is regurgitating Zero's Israel-bashing and Likud-bashing talking points.
How many wars have started and ended? How many countries have been born and died. How many inventions and scientific breakthroughs have occurred since this “peace process” has started? Perhaps people should get a clue that if there was ever going to be peace it would have happened generations ago, the world has changed and moved in hundreds of times in thousands of different ways, yet the conflict drags on and on right back where it started 70 years ago, and it ain’t because of dem jooooooos.
Really?
What arrogance, for this guy to try to influence Israel’s elections, and then to go on to blame Israel because the people voted for security instead of appeasement.
The Israeli need for strong leadership that stands up to threats rather than opening the doors and telling enemies to take what they want is arguably stronger than the American need for the same.
What did the treaty have to do with the peace process?
What Obama was really saying was, if you don’t do what I tell you, there’s gonna be hell to pay?
Peace process?
“Peace in our time”
