WASHINGTON President Obama said he has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the Israeli leaders remarks in the closing days of his re-election campaign had upended the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and ran counter to the very nature of Israeli democracy, an unusually forceful and public condemnation of the top official of a vital United States ally.
In his first public comments on the matter since Mr. Netanyahus victory in Tuesdays elections, Mr. Obama said the prime ministers pre-election statement that there would be no Palestinian state on his watch had all but foreclosed the chance for negotiations to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I indicated to him that given his statements prior to the election, it is going to be hard to find a path where people are seriously believing that negotiations are possible, Mr. Obama said in a videotaped interview with The Huffington Post conducted on Friday and released on Saturday.

Obama tried. Netanyahu won.
If I'm Bibi, I respond with, "Yeah, the sort of Democracy YOU brought, with your taxpayer-funded groups intended to spike an Israeli election. (click) (dial tone)"
But the Palestinians shouting “death to the Jews” doesn’t hurt the “peace process.” /sarcasm
By the way, I know the new york times Obama-felatrix-in-chief, Julie Davis, is 100% communist and a 100% propagandist for Obama, but seriously, can you give it a rest for a day, Jules?
This is not unusual AT ALL for Obama.
Indeed. There never has been one and I don't see one starting any time soon.
Headshake. I guess it could have been worse, it could have been with the NYT.
Yeah but now Obama's using his propaganda arm, what used to be free press ;-( to turn the world against Israel. The only reason I can see for all the rising anti-semitism is end times. It's a tiny country that should mean nothing to the world yet they obsess over it.
F*** the “peace process”.
We should be worrying about the war process.
Let me see if I get t.his right... Nyethanyahu pre election statement on a Palestinian state,’ “foreclosed the chance of negotiations”, but then Iran’s repeated promises to wipe out Israel from the face of the earth only made Obama more eager to sign treaty with Iran whereby all sanctions would be lifted against Iran and end up Iran possessing nuclear weapons? On what planet is that?
My first thought for a response would have been “Opinions are like a**holes Braack” LOL
What alliance? Israel is probably shifting allegiances much like Egypt did.
When will the Mossad should give the bathhouse boy a big bolus of HIV?
That's different.
Obama doesn't hate Palestinians.
Ain’t gonna happen. Most of Mossad supported Netanyahu’s rival.
Well it makes a nice change from, “It’s all Bush’s fault”. Now he get to say, “It’s all Netanyahu’s fault”. Obummer ain’t a problem solver, he’s a problem maker.
Only the Obama cult at the propaganda mill of the NYT is interested in what this worm said to a real leader.
The day hussein was birthed, he’s done everything to destroy any peace process.
This is just one reference of the many references for Netanyahu saying he has NEVER ABANDONED the TWO-STATE SOLUTION as he announced in his Bar-Ilan speech, and he says that multiple times at many news shows after the election!
Netanyahu confirms he never abandoned two-state vision

Given the abundant evidence taken from Netanyahus statements both before and after the controversy erupted, its time for reporters to stop misrepresenting Netanyahu as having said he is against peace with the Palestinians, and specifically against a two-state peace agreement. Its simply not true.
...and Bibi told Obama that if Iran gets any nuclear capability whatsoever, He will be reading about the nuke going off in Tehran in his morning paper.
It’s actually Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s position, in that he says (after the election) that he has never changed his support for a TWO-STATE SOLUTION per his Bar-Ilan policy speech, given when Obama first got into office!
