SAPs Sanjay Shirole says he wants to foster a creative environment where anyone can sip coffee, swap ideas or pound their computer keyboards alongside others who share a passion for technology. SAP is working with gourmet coffee retailer Blue Bottle to sell refreshments. Shirole describes the operation as a sort of community center, with free seating for anyone who buys coffee or food. The cafe will also offer an auditorium and rentable work space for groups or individuals who want to reserve seats for an extended time. Hes also promising a desk where SAP engineers and independent consultants will offer free advice on software design or similar topics.

A pretty clever idea, IMO.
Doesn’t seem far off the Mark
Sounds perfect. Wish I could stop by.
Oracle has advertising all over Frankfurt’s airport. These companies love to tweak each other.
Also they'll come up with completely mindbogglingly stupid names for thing. Instead of coffee, they'll call it yellow. They'll refer to the pastries as pantsuits.
You will enter confused. As time goes on you will become more and more angry, more and more frustrated. You would like to leave, but your boss was told that SAP sold the best coffee, er yellow, in town and you're just going to have to wait until they get your order, er lineprinter, right.
LOL. You didn’t mention that the software for tracking their goods will cost more than they could ever make in coffee sales in a hundred years. But making a profit is not the objective. The objective is keeping careful track of how much you are losing until you go out of business.
What software topics will the baristas be encouraged to discuss?
They will order for you, present you with your food, and tell you “This is what you will eat, we are the experts”.
I hope they name it “Sie Haben.” And because it is SAP, if you don’t request your coffee/pastry materials correctly you will get a cryptic error message that mixes English and German.
