I’m sending this to my grandchildren who don’t like math!

Considering his answer, probably. Obviously this relationship had nothing to do with personal relationship. It seemed more like the equivalent of a gold digger refusing to marry her sugar daddy when she finds out that all the money he spent was on a stolen credit card.

Yes, but do you realize the effect this my have on our grandchildren should this practice become widespread after Common Core becomes the law of the land in education circles?

Of course, but then probably nobody will be getting married any more if society keeps going in the direction it is headed.

I wonder how many weddings would be cancelled in the USA if every bride here did this...

“Of course, but then probably nobody will be getting married any more if society keeps going in the direction it is headed.”

This is my expectation for the future.
It may be less significant than we think, though, because of the collapsing birthrates.

Marriage is a practical matter, and anyone who does not keep this uppermost in mind is likely to be disappointed - likely, not certainly, but in life the wise play the odds.

Particularly in places like India, where they are usually arranged.

If the party says 15 + 6 = 17, then 15 + 6 = 17.

She must not be into Common Core. Maybe if he had only shown his work and his “critical thinking skills” to get to 17, all would be ok.

The question she asked: How much is 15 plus six?

His reply: 17.

Maybe he was thinking about volumes in cubic liters of some gas like oxygen

Now even Jethro Bodine could do math.

There was an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies where he was very proud to show his ciphering skills, “Naught times naught is naught; naught times one is naught; naught times two is naught...”
