Considering his answer, probably. Obviously this relationship had nothing to do with personal relationship. It seemed more like the equivalent of a gold digger refusing to marry her sugar daddy when she finds out that all the money he spent was on a stolen credit card.

Marriage is a practical matter, and anyone who does not keep this uppermost in mind is likely to be disappointed - likely, not certainly, but in life the wise play the odds.

Particularly in places like India, where they are usually arranged.
