Robert De Niro owed $6.4 million to the IRS for his 2013 tax return, but it appears he just learned of it. The Oscar winner's tax debt surfaced in documents first uncovered by the Smoking Gun. Mr. De Niro has an estimated worth of over $200 million, and is reputed to spend $125,000 a month on his rental on Central Park West. In that sense, this tax bill doesn't seem so large. But it was unpaid, as the notice to New York Citys Department of Finance revealed. That is what an IRS lien filing is all about. But right away, Mr. De Niro took action. In fact, his spokesman Stan Rosenfeld said the problem occurred because the IRS delinquency notices had been sent to an old address. As soon as the actor learned of the tax lien, he had a check for the full amount hand delivered to the IRS.

And just when is Al Sharptongue going to pay HIS tax bill??
Al Forked Tongue uses Zero as a shield.
Obviously Al skipped the scripture where Christ said to render unto Caesar.
So he paid it? The horror. That must be why this is even a story. In other breaking news, most Americans broke zero laws today. And the earth is still round. No news at eleven.
$125,000 a month for rent?
I don't care how much money you have...that's ridiculous...
Unless you are a Saudi prince
“In other breaking news, most Americans broke zero laws today.”
WRONG!!! In reality nearly all Americans today broke multiple laws which they never knew existed. The “law abiding citizen” is merely a figure of speech, it is not possible to be a law abiding citizen in this country today. You can be a GOOD citizen and you can be a WONDERFUL human being but you CANNOT be a law abiding citizen anymore than you can flap your wings and fly with the Eagles. How can anyone be law abiding in a country where attorneys have to specialize in one little part of the law to try to understand it? If you actually knew how many laws you have broken in the last year you would scream. Even the federal government itself does not even make a pretense of abiding by its own laws any longer and if you speak of the law that all else is supposed to be based on, the constitution, it only exists on paper now, in practice it is disregarded.
De Niro said when asked about paying taxes... “There are three ways of doing things around here: the right way, the wrong way and the way that I do it.
I’ll bet he filed an insurance claim for the boat he tore up on the Cape Fear River too. :^)
Yeah, I know he is. But he's an iconic actor. One of my faves.
He’s not an actor. He just plays himself in every role.
I’m sure this will inspire Al to pay his delinquent tax bill!
Yes, he is a great actor. Just like the teleprompter reader in chief.
Hes not an actor. He just plays himself in every role.
.....................................................
Well, if you look at the characters he played in Cape Fear, Awakenings, and Midnight Run, he must be one very confused man.
I don't care how much money you have...that's ridiculous.
He has a net worth of several hundred million, has five new movies to be released and is in his 70s, do you think he is worried about $ 1.5 million annual rent for his Manhattan pad?
He is a good actor but he can't beat father time and cash won't travel after death.
Agreed.
There aren’t many leftists in any line of work to whom I will give my patronage, let alone admiration.
But DeNiro always brings the goods.
(plus I don’t see him out on the front lines of the hate-America-parades, or am I just missing something?)
“Are you talkin’ to me?, are you talkin’ to me?...”
IRS: “Yes, we are”
> Hes not an actor. He just plays himself in every role.
Have thought the very same thing. He’s just being himself...: )
But...but...but his greta Frankenstein!
I wonder how many people have committed felonies not knowing that they did???
