Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Friday continued to dance around controversial comments made by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Asked whether he agreed with Giuliani's contention that President Barack Obama doesn't love America, a remark made at a private dinner for Walker in New York, the governor said, "I don't really know what his opinions are on that one way or another."
I assume most people in this country love America," he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in an interview in Washington, D.C. "And to me I dont think its worth getting into the battle over whether he does or he doesnt. He can handle that himself. I know I do."
"And I know there are great people in this country who love this country and who ... feel this countrys exceptional and it doesnt necessarily align by party," he added. "I think there are Republicans and Democrats and plenty of people in between. Ive never asked the president so I dont really know what his opinions are on that one way or another.

That ain’t Walker’s fight.
It was McCain’s and Romney’s and Giulianii’s.
And they FAILED.
Giuliani is a day late and a dollar short.
That’s a good answer.
Very squishy.
Better answer: “Go ask Obama.”
Walker is too sharp to get sucked into that crap.
He has had enough school housin’ to figure that out.
Unfair to ask Walker that question when Giuliani is no longer an active politician and Walker is.
Why don’t they ask all active politicians that same question and publish the answers for the American public to know?
Scott Walker: ‘I Don’t Really Know’ Whether Obama Loves America, so the MSM should investigate for us ,LOL
Not at all. Walker gave the correct answer.
Seems pretty freaking obvious to me. I'm disappointed in Walker (who I do like and will vote for) that he didn't INSTANTLY think of this absolutely logical response.
Yup.
He’s being discrete. No point in even answering. The media should ask Obama.
Well, none of us knows, in the sense that we’re not inside his heart and mind (thank God!). But from ALL the evidence, Mayor Giuliani was 100 percent right.
Let me put it to you this way: If you didn’t love America, what would you do differently from what Obama has done?
He says he does love America, but he also wants to “fundamentally transform” it. You don’t try to do a fundamental transformation of something you love — reform it, maybe, but not transform it.
So what does he love about America? The topography? The wide diversity of ethnic food?
Why doesn’t the MSM ask the President this question as well as; 1) why didn’t he stop going to the “reverend” Wright’s “church”? 2) where did he get the money to travel to Pakistan with a close friend during college? 3) when, if ever, will he release his college grades and SAT scores? 4) just what was his relationship with Frank Marshall Davis, was he a mentor, substitute father or what?
I don’t know whether he loves it or not but I do know that however he would define it and how I would define it are two totally different things. In fact I’d go so far as to say there are at least two different Americas and the America of Obamanation and his ilk I want absolutely nothing to do with.
They are the attack dogs. They call the tune.
“I don’t know” is an OK answer. What needs to be added is something like this:
“However, when you step back and look at the totality of some of his statements, his silence at key moments, some of his actions, and his policies, I can easily see how an intelligent person might be led to question President Obama’s devotion to our nation.”
Its the perfect answer at this point in the game
This question needs to be asked of the questioners:
“What can you point to that shows Obama’s love of this country?”
Just say to the POS reporter, “Can you show me where he has promoted freedom instead of communism or socialism?”
