The couple was driving their pit bull through a shopping center in Costa Mesa on their way to Huntington Beach when the dog turned on them.
Authorities said the couple both sustained serious injuries. Witnesses said both were bitten repeatedly in the arms.

The husband was driving, his wife was a passenger. They said the dog attacked inexplicably.

During the attack, the wife was able to call 911 while the husband pulled into a parking lot. The husband jumped out of the vehicle and the dog followed, continuing to attack the man.
Police said when the woman tried to coax the dog back into the car, the dog turned on her as well.

That attitude is so wrong in so many ways. If you have to physically alter a dog so it will not attack the owner it needs to be altered on a much more final basis. Just shoot it in the head or have it put down.
My poor pit bull would never hurt anything or anyone but we have to cut his balls off to make sure we are right.
No dog of mine has ever attacked me.
This idea of offering defenses and explanations for dogs attacking their owners while driving and chasing them from the car, is new to me.

I looked at the video and that’s the street we turned right on (as we traveled THROUGH Costa Mesa) to go to our former home on the bluff above HB...Know the “shopping center” well except it’s hardly a shopping center...very small strip mall. On the other hand if we went into HB to pick up a pizza, we turned left at the top of the hill and that’s AFTER we traveled through Huntington Beach into Costa Mesa! HA!
This is more fun than checking to see what the “drip” is up to in the WH. Has the plumber been there yet to fix it???
I bet the pit was ticked off that his owners wouldn’t let him watch High School Musical with Hillary and Obama!

It doesn’t matter....the pit bull wanted to shop in Newport Beach. Never spoil your pit bull. They will eat your face!
