Don't be ridiculous. Obviously they adore the cat and the cat is very secure. Otherwise it would be hissing and fighting, claws out, or making the Ultimate Cat Sound (the baritone howl).

I had a kitty long ago who loved being brushed so much that if I ever walked nearby to the brushing mat, she would run over and flop. Flop and purr loudly. Sometimes she would flop so hard her legs would fly up in the air before coming to rest.
