Full Title: Strong cannabis causes one in four cases of psychosis: Users three times more likely to have an episode than those who have never tried it ªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªª As many as a quarter of new cases of psychotic mental illness can be blamed on super-strength strains of cannabis, scientists will warn this week. Every instance in which it doesn't happen undermines your premise that it's the drugs doing the harm.

Yes, bullets fired into the air which don't harm anyone, proves that it is harmless to fire bullets into the air.

False parallel - I'm pointing out that bullets fired into the ground which don't harm anyone undermine any premise that it's the gun doing the harm.

Your logic is terrible.

The irony is wonderful.

I have no guilty conscience over that incident whatsoever.

Bulls hit. Your offer to take responsibility belies that statement.

The child was just in an unfortunate situation brought on by being born to dope smoking/dealing parents.

This is a public forum read all over the world. When you make a claim like that about non-public figures, it would behoove you to back up that claim or retract it.

Can you do so?

Already got into this foolishness with "Conflating Freedom."

You are comparing estimates "300,000" with real numbers "400,000". The "400,000" number comes from records of prescriptions issued to both Union and Confederate soldiers during/after the Civil War.

The 400,000 are real numbers. The "estimate" is not.

Drawing conclusions by comparing real numbers to estimates (really? A conclusion based on two data points? What are you five or something?) is nonsense.

If the bullets were being fired into the ground, we wouldn't be seeing dead bodies laying around. We are seeing dead bodies, so obviously the bullets are not being fired into the ground. They are being fired into the air because they occasionally come down and hit someone.

No doubt they are a statistical extrapolation. Till someone presents an argument that there are better figures, I will have no choice but to use what is available."

It is when it is selectively quoted to support a drug legalizing agenda.

9.4% of Americans smoked pot last month - how many harmed someone?

Says who?

Says the government. I know a bunch of dope smokers who get welfare checks.

The parents were never accused of anything; parents and child were staying in a home whose owner was fingered by an informant - though no drugs were found on him or in his home.

The man was long known to the police as a drug dealer. I have known drug dealers. They try very hard to make certain the police don't find their product. Sometimes they are successful at it.

The facts outlined here indicate the police were right to suspect drug dealing at this residence.

The day before, police said agents sent an informant to the home and successfully purchased methamphetamines from Wanis Thonetheva.

The informant told agents that there were a couple of men at the home standing "guard" outside the door leading to the finished garage area and the front door of the residence.

The informant said that it was not sure whether these "guards" posted in the front of the residence were armed with weapons.

According to all information able to be gathered at the time, agents said there were no children or dogs at the residence.

In the past, agents knew there were assault-type weapons at the home and Thonetheva has a criminal history which reflected charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and several charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

You can believe whatever kooky thing your heart desires. You have already exhibited one such kooky belief, and I have little doubt that your cannabis induced psychosis is probably perfectly happy to have several more kooky ideas keeping it company in your schizoid head.

We can see Jesus and Reagan with a glass of alcohol in their hands, but not of them using pot.

With logic like that, I think YOU'VE been smoking pot.

A drug induced psychosis diagnosis certainly seems to fit you, because you have a constant and obsessive tendency to conflate one thing with another, and to take commentary out of context, and then act as if it actually proves something.

Repetition is a seeming hallmark of you dope pushing Libertarians. I suppose it's all you've got.

How many of them were on Welfare or had children? That's just to get it started. After that we will have to look at how many of them are supported by someone else because they are too stoned to hold down a job, how many of them operated dangerous machinery and injured someone, and so on.

I'm betting a high percentage (pun intended) harmed someone else either directly or indirectly.

These guys were civilians in 1880 and had dispersed around the country. How did they get such an accurate civilian count in 1880, but not in 1900?

No, we don't have to be "fair" to weed. Alcohol has been with Humanity since before recorded history, and we just have to live with the fact that it kills 85,000 people per year, and destroys the lives of many others.

But no, we don't have to tolerate another one just as bad or worse than alcohol.

Hate to break this to you, but weed is more ancient than even alcohol. And the Founders of this country both grew it and smoked it. And your false danger comparison is amusing, because weed not only doesn't kill 85,000 people per year, it doesn't kill any at all. And of its dangers, the only known one is to children, but many things are dangerous to children and not adults. And no one is saying children should smoke it.

You tried to compare alcohol to pot.

Do you think that Jesus was a pot head or would supply pot at a party, or that Reagan would be with that group of men smoking pot and hashish, instead of sharing beer with them?

Because I learned how to use this thing called ‘Google’. Have you?

You made the assertion, you have to back it up. I likewise didn't ask you where you got the data, I asked you how you know if it's true or not.

My experience with this issue has resulted in innumerable examples of Libertarians simply making crap up, which other Libertarians then cite as "proof" that their ideas are sound. I had one guy actually linking back to his own website to "Prove" he was correct. His link simply went back to stuff he himself had written.

"See! I'm right! I said so! "

The Homosexual lobby does exactly the same thing to prove homosexuals are "born that way" and so are therefore "normal." Endless numbers of Homosexual "researchers" are constantly "finding" evidence that they are correct. Same thing with global warming proponents. It's made up bullshit all the way down.

I've had my fill of chasing down Libertarian claims. I seldom bother anymore.
