At the time the British government announced the Longitude Prize, shipwrecks were a grave problem – many people died, ships and cargo were lost. It was decided that a reward in the form of what would be millions in today’s dollars should be given to the person who devised a method by which a ship’s longitude could reliably be determined – making accurate navigation possible.
Ultimately, the prize was successful. Many lives were saved. Faced as we are now with alarming outbreaks of measles and whooping cough, we need a similar competition.
Who, 50 years ago, would ever have imagined we’d need to promise a reward to the person able to persuade wealthy, educated parents to do this small thing for their own children – of whom they seem quite fond – and for those who come into contact with those children, about whom one hopes they’d give a damn.
Yet here we are. There are schools in the wealthiest parts of Los Angeles where the vaccination rate is on a par with that of South Sudan – fashionable tinder boxes of measles waiting to go up. Pertussis (the far-less-fun-than-it-sounds “whooping cough”) is making a dramatic comeback.

Note, it says “Some inactivated flu vaccine contains a very small amount of a mercury-based preservative called thimerosol.”
Nope, I get the shot, my kids get the shot or nasal mist. I was just pointing out that the sheet says mercury-based thimerosol. It's actually on the "label" for my shots.
My understanding is that there are people with immune system disorders for whom vaccines are either less effective or are ineffective.
That means that if they come in contact with a carrier, they aren’t really immune PLUS if they catch the disease it poses a significantly higher health risk. The only way to protect them is to protect all the kids around them.
That being said, I don’t believe in forcing parents to vaccinate their kids. I DO support denying those kids access to many public facilities (including schools), as well as giving private citizens and organizations complete latitude to demand proof of vaccination and to deny service or entry to those who either refuse to provide it or don’t meet predetermined standards.

Did you know feeding your child a banana is feeding them radiation? Why would you feed your child radiation? That’s right, due to your ignorance of science you didn’t know that Potassium contains radioactive isotopes and that the human body also contains radioactive isotopes.

Kids can’t get the vaccines until they are 12 months old. So when your unvaccinated mongrels bring measles to daycare, it puts the young ones at risk. try to keep up.
So your wife was vaccinated as a kid and couldn’t give immunity to her child with her milk?? That’s why your baby got measles at daycare. He wouldn’t have caught it if he were drinking breast milk from a mommy who was genuinely immune for life.

Too many freepers think they are intelligent and consider the truth and freedom but not where vaccines are concerned. No grey areas, no thought to how imperfect today’s vaccines are.
You have quite the attitude but you are wrong. The flu vaccine is recommended for under 6 and even for pregnant women (whose babies are definitely under 6) and it still contains Mercury. Also, many child vaccinations are full of aluminum.
The 600 lb gorilla in the room is the invasion of undocumented people without any medical workup, and the distribution of them and their pet diseases and parasites far and wide without regard for the indigenous residents.

Clearly, playing with mercury has affected your thought process.
Yeah, exposing measles to an infant that hasn't had their shots yet.....what could possibly go wrong? At that age, they don't even have an immune system. But the anti-vax numb-skulls have no problem allowing their unvaccinated children to inflict disease upon the most vulnerable and innocent of society. Nothing like an infant in the ICU fighting for his life because some parent is too stupid to vaccinate their kids.
I also wonder if they prefer bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus in their vaccines rather than a preservative.
