I actually feel sorry for these Android and Samsung phone users that I see around me, when they can’t get things to work right for them and they waste so much time trying, and eventually, they give up on using it any more than they have to.
With iPhone and iPad, it’s such a joy to use, with its good user interface and ease of use, that it gets used more and more. Those people with iPhone and iPad are really getting their money’s worth, and they sell their devices for a higher resale value because of that.

It’s you who doesn’t seem to get it. I like saving money on items I buy, but not at the expense of quality and usability. If a particular soup is “cheaper” at one store than another, I’ll try to get it at the cheaper store, if I’m already over that way. BUT, I won’t get the “cheaper soup” that is made by someone else, that also “tastes like it’s cheap”! That’s the kind of difference I’m talking about.
I’ll buy the more expensive soup, because it tastes like it’s supposed to and is quality soup. However, I do know people who get the cheapest soup overall, because they’re “cheap” themselves, and they’ll brag on “getting it cheap” and pretend that they’re actually eating good soup! ... LOL ...

You keep touting Apple's High Prices as somehow saving money. Did I ever say at anytime in this discussion that apple was cheaper? YET you post Apple Higher prices as somehow proof I was wrong. Apparently in your mind somehow saying over and over Apple is higher priced will prove you save money YET basic math proves otherwise.
Back to the point I made on this thread and you tried to refute. Most people who use a cell phone CLAIM they NEED the latest and greatest to keep up. They don't when you look at what most people do a two year old phone does everything they do but they need to rationalize their purchase of an uber expensive geegaw buy claiming such things as (hahahaha) "total cost of ownership makes me save money."
Remember you are the one who claimed that by paying premium you saved money. You don't. As you keep showing you just spend more and more money on higher and higher priced products. And the only logical reason people do such is for status.

Oh so Apple revised iOS8 to work with iphone four and older? See if you aren't making your new software work on your older gadgets you are making them fall behind. Its how they get you to stay on the treadmill and keep pumping money into them. Can't get the latest and greatest apps and so on. Can't upgrade the hardware with new chips and memory or a newer camera, you gotta buy a new phone. ALL the phone manufacturers play that game. Its a reality, deal with it Sparky.
If they truly supported older gadgets (and why would they being they don't make a dime from them) they would design their latest software to work with the older items. They would produce hardware upgrades and such for them. They don't and that my friend is QED.
And also remember Sparky I say Android does the exact same thing as Apple. They just tend to cost less. My question for all of them is why pay premium when there is no actual need to. Not when most people use their phone for texting and phone calls etc. The reason they do is it is a status symbol then they try and claim they save money. They don't period.

I am sitting at home right now and not at a Job. You know why? Because I was good with my money. I am in my early 50s. I don't need to get up and go to work. I have enough income from wise use of my money. I personally owe nothing on my house my car or any of my income properties save for taxes and maintenance. I have one business that still has some debt and we will have that paid off in about two years. So if that is White Trash then yeah that is me.

Let me clear it up, I like Apple and the products they make because they are quality products, and they work very well, and I like their supporting infrastructure for their products. That makes me choose Apple.

Know while you are out there wasting cash paying premium for temporary tech. I am researching good rural properties to build a new super efficient home on. The daughter has 2.5 years left in college and then we will buy the property build the mostly passive solar heated and cooled house and then move there and when we do it will be paid in full nothing owed except for taxes and maintenance and it will be built in such a way that it will be a low taxed property. That is the plan BUT We don't need to do it. We can live fine to the end of our days here it is paid for in full. We may change our minds before that time comes BUT that is the beauty of being White Trash who know how to handle money.
