The "Left Shark," as seen dancing awkwardly behind Katy Perry during Sunday night's Super Bowl, became nothing short of an overnight phenomenon, spinning off memes for days afterward on social media.

Probably a white guy.
Left side of the screen................
Really?
Even my overactive, disturbingly vivid imagination will not stretch *that* far.
;D
i’d squeeze that... oh, that’s charmin...
whatever would i do with wonder bread... i wonder...
Eggs - actly - which ‘left?’
The shark to we viewer’s left, thus Perry’s right - got it???!!
Good!
Let’s not even mention the ‘left’ shark was occasionally, briefly, on our right in the routine.
‘Probably a white guy.’

Now that we’ve got that straight, what is making everyone so giddy about watching these two bozos in shark suits. I don’t see one doing anything different than the other one. In all fairness, I didn’t watch the halftime extravaganza so maybe the news clips I’m seeing are not showing what has the whole world laughing.
Well, I'm in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, so 'Beach Ball' was my first thought.......
Why don’t sharks attack lawyers?
Professional Courtesy.
Too funny. What I wonder is did they have yo pay her for the hald time show? It was horrible and her voice sounded terrible. What does she usually do for her job?
This is why I make the beer run at halftime.
It’s funny because these extravaganzas are supposed to showcase the best talent. Literally millions and millions are watching. They supposedly practice and practice and practice until everything is letter perfect. They rehearse for weeks, both in and out of costume. And in all that time nobody noticed Left Shark being ‘different’.
One commentator said Left Shark was ‘drunk’...........
We have ‘Shark-on-a-Stick’...............
A moose bit my sister. Maybe it bit the shark too.
I DID watch the halftime show (hoping for a wardrobe malfunction, I guess), and I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. A cheesy pop fest for sure, but I didn’t see anything unusual (although I am by no means a choreography expert.)
I see now that this story is about suing a guy on the Internet who is making/ selling little statuettes depicting the left shark, trying to capture this made up sensation.
Well white sharks are not known for their dancing
I’m no fan of Katy Perry but I give her credit for sticking to her guns as it were. She’d been offered and accepted the halftime gig but later the producers of the show went back and told her they didn’t think she should be paid because the amount of exposure she was going to get at the Superb Owl was certainly worth more than what she was going to be paid. She gave them the figurative finger, got paid and rec’d free exposure just the same.
