I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

And President Reagan said, “Alzheimer’s isn’t all bad ... you meet so many wonderful new people every day, like your wife, your driver, your secretary ...”.
Dad did suffer from frustration at his incapacity, as well as from anxiety. Even if you don’t remember yesterday, facing each day in a “new” environment with “new” people is frightening. But it’s over now.
The diagnosis gives a heads-up to the next generation. Mom says Alzheimer’s tracks through the female parent, so my brother and I are not at above-average risk, but my children will be. If research advances on preventive treatment, it will be valuable for them to know they have a hereditary tendency.

I did! But it got lost on one of my moves. Hmmmm. I think it was a conspiracy against fine art.

"Mom says Alzheimers tracks through the female parent, so my brother and I are not at above-average risk, but my children will be. If research advances on preventive treatment, it will be valuable for them to know they have a hereditary tendency." Since you have an interest, I would suggest that you begin correlating possible negative factors, even the wildly suppositional, such as; a correlation with using aluminum cookware, and a negative response from consumers of coffee, tea, and wine.
At most, one might find a vaguely illuminated path through the various danger signals, but it does bear keeping an eye on it.

Bustelo?

You'd need to add a few cups of sugar to it before you'd drink it...

On another note, we are being rude to our host. We haven’t said ‘Hello’ for about three or so pages...
Hey Mason, Free, Master, Combo, or Whatever... It’s alright to come out and play. Don’t be shy. Your feelings will only be hurt for a little while.
Then you’ll get used to it...

If I had one, it would be lost somewhere in our house. It’s been 11 years since we moved in.

Jake used to like the dog bed, when it was placed in the most desirable sunbeam location. Ash would just lie on him.

Jake was a “junior dog,” when we had a dog. Now he’s stuck with being a cat.

Somehow that loping-along-to-greet-the-master, is undignified for a cat, but they still enjoy the affection.

Jake would enjoy the tales about the warrior feline race, the Kzinti, by Larry Niven.
Although they always tended to leap too soon.
