I saw this coming too. But I wish him well.
I wouldn’t be surprised that the Cleveland Browns management asked him to go into treatment, and he accepted as a condition of him staying with the team.
I knew those Snickers bars would lead to no good......................
But now everyone knows why he was a wasted draft pick (no pun intended).
He needed this four years ago. Maybe he’ll resolve his issues. If he was ever team-orientated...he might be worth something in the league.
I read the story on a Cleveland newspaper site and it strongly implied the team was involved in the decision.
Colin Cowherd shows class... stating that he has been hard on Manziel and thought he was a punk, but today he has his back.
I'm typically not a fan of "forced" rehab. The desire to change must come from within. Hopefully he has the desire to come out of this a changed man, or his pro football career might never get off the ground.
I didn’t see him actually doing something about it coming. Good for him, hope he finds the path.
He needs ego-reduction surgery, along with a humility implant.
Wondered when this would happen!!!
He has a chance now. One chance.
Manziel is one of those notoriously bad high draft picks. He will be out of the NFL in 2 years or less.
bttt
Wow, that was quick!
He was probably raised like a prince that could do no wrong. Very wealthy family and a talented football player. He has always acted like a spoiled brat since he became “johnny football” I hope he can become a humble person in some way and overcome. Just my opinion of course. Dont’ imagine too many people told him “no” along the way.
The NY Giants had a reputation for working behind the scenes to have their troublesome players deal with their issues. It was also unusual for them to even draft guys with personality issues in the first place. It’s amazing that Lawrence Taylor played as long as he did for them.
And Bayless was right this entire time.
He’s proof that awarding the Heisman to a freshman is a bad idea.
