Am I the only person watching this "football game" (which is actually a good football game) annoyed by these annoying lectures, masquerading as commercials, about how powerful, capable, independent and valuable women are, so we barbaric men shouldn't devalue them, disrespect them (not actually a word) or hit them? Is this really what we need to be told while we're trying to just watch a ball game? I know the rest of the culture insists on this, but aren't men the primary clientele of the NFL? Why does the NFL have to subject us to this nonsense?
I am not watching the game but earlier scanned all the channels looking for something to watch.
The odd thing is the only White guys I saw except for Lt. Columbo, were on the football field.
Because they’ve got on touch with their inner coward at a time when government and PC groups have become the 800lb gorilla.
Yes...sit in front of the Light Box.
I’m a girl and I HATE THEM. I throw like a fricking girl because I am a girl.
?
Idunno. But I “bumped into” a guy that worked on that Chrysler commercial a number of months ago on a guitar amplifier website. Tonight it was like, “where have I seen that before...”
I have written off the NFL long ago (in fact all American professional sports leagues) and also do not have a television. So TV advertising has no chance of having any influence on me.
In other words, “....like a girl” is an insult, no matter what.
You all know it is true.
Don’t hand me that obfuscation of “when it’s a man”.
When was the last time you heard someone COMPLAIN “you.....like a boy” to a girl?
That’s right. Never.
Oh, come on. Seriously?
It implies no such thing. It simply acknowledges the fact that females generally have a weaker throwing arm than males.
I've always understood that I differ from men in all kinds of ways, including size and strength, but I have never felt "inferior."
Karty Perry was hot!
As a woman, with a husband and a mother to two boys that last commercial where that idiot Silverman had the “delivery room” and said sorry it’s a boy was so offensive. My boys are a blessing and my daughter adores her older brothers. She’ll tell you in a heartbeat they are her best friends.
Feminists are a scourge.
The billions that could be spent supporting MRAs and funding programs that help boys are making expensive prostitutes and abusive pimps rich instead. What is unclear?
Been happening for a little while now.... I’ve been noticing it since the 90s, but it was probably much earlier than that even on television programs.
Hah. I have heard, “You are acting like a man” many a time. It was not a compliment.
“Who wouldn’t want to watch that?”
Camera pans left
You post like a girl.
Joking. Just joking so take a midol. Joking.
Good for you! I understand the Navy and Army are looking for SEAL and Ranger instructors.
“C’mon girls! Knee push ups, three of ‘em & no exceptions!”
“Oh sarge! I broke a nail. Do I gotta?”
“I guess not. A half-dozen tush-swivels then!”
Women in general do “differ” from men in that they are physically inferior to them.
I’m not saying that some might not make good soldiers. I’m just saying something everyone understands, even Obamanites although they won’t acknowledge this categorical generalization.
The “throw like a girl” ad did not bother me at all. It was considerably less obnoxious than all the diversity training classes I was compelled to take by my employer
