Am I the only person watching this "football game" (which is actually a good football game) annoyed by these annoying lectures, masquerading as commercials, about how powerful, capable, independent and valuable women are, so we barbaric men shouldn't devalue them, disrespect them (not actually a word) or hit them? Is this really what we need to be told while we're trying to just watch a ball game? I know the rest of the culture insists on this, but aren't men the primary clientele of the NFL? Why does the NFL have to subject us to this nonsense?
Very cute, but I didn't use the word "hate."
I note that you have been accused of it by others at various times. Personally I think hate is a very strong word...but a certain tone does tend to run through many of your posts.
That’s interesting, thanks.
I know it’s true for me-—I have a pitiful throw, LOL.
Good lord
This is Free Republic
Let me repeat in caps
FREE REPUBLIC
For Gods sake don’t repeat canards like:
More women are beaten during super bowl
Absolute made up bullshite
Brought to you by dogfood ugly over educated sapphics diners at cafe Why
I’m definitely female and definitely the football fan in my house, so women watch as well. And no, I don’t need to see their commercials to know how important a Godly and upright man, who would not abuse anyone including a woman, is in my life. Fortunately God provided one for me almost 30 years ago. I tune in to watch football, not the lectures....
My sons used to accuse me of throwing like a girl. My response always was - good thing, cause I am one!
And don’t forget to give everyone a trophy just for showing up so nobody’s feelings get hurt.
that pi$$ed me off as well....she is off my list
Thank you, ma’am.
Super bowl? Commercials? Missed it!
They have to balance the Victoria’s Secret ads and also the stupidist show title “ The Slap”
That ad was offensive. Agreed!
Hugs to you, GF. :)

“Disrespect” is indeed a word. Shakespeare used it.
“I want them to spend their money on MRAs and countering the anti-male bias instead of prostitution.”
Honestly, if I had to choose between spending some of MY PERSONAL money on either a mid range call girl for me, or on a commercial discussing anti-male bias that would make you happy.
Well, lets just say my night would be happy, not yours.
(you should see me smiling right now)
“If youre a guy and throw like a girl, it is intended as an insult.” If you are a guy in the Infantry and you throw like a girl [grenade] it means you are dead along with any members of your squad in close proximity.
“If you are a guy in the Infantry and you throw like a girl [grenade] it means you are dead along with any members of your squad in close proximity”
That’s really mean, and diminished all the girls. Now you’ve hurt their delicate feelings. Wait, did I say delicate? I meant their feelings that are exactly like men’s feelings. (of course, we’re all still dead from the grenade)
When Sarah Palin coined the term “fight like a Girl”, she was soundly attacked by the Left.
Oh how the worm turns when the Lefties pick up the BTON.
BATON...
Geez.
But there were two commercials by Nissan and Toyota about being good Dads, which was nice to see.
