NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - Two former Vanderbilt University football players were found guilty on Tuesday in the rape of an unconscious female student.
A jury in Nashville returned a verdict after less than four hours of deliberations. Prosecutors said the woman was raped on June 23, 2013, and that the assault was proved by what the young men recorded on a cellphone.
The case comes at a time of heightened national discussion about the prevalence of sexual assault on college campuses.

She was raped and humiliated and degraded while unconscious by boys who sure lack a moral compass
One I’m glad I had
I just hope she can have a normal life
I’m always dismayed to see a poster go miles out of his way responding to another post that is obviously sarcastic. Good points anyway.
“I played football till junior year and my dad played for VMI and was drafted by the Giants in YA era. I know scores of football players. Neither of us nor them were rapists”
Of course you are absolutely right, but I can’t help but thinking that things have changed a bit in football, as they have in society in general. The local high school where I live had a student-based steroid ring, for example. I grew up thinking of athletes as role models. One of them from my very early youth, Ernie Banks, was just lost to us. I think we’ve become a progressively more cynical culture, with more anger and less innocence, and it will destroy us if we don’t do better.
One of the guys is white. His father did an angry outburst and had to leave the room.
I’m so happy this was the result of the trial!!!

” I cant help but thinking that things have changed a bit in football, as they have in society in general.”
Maybe. I knew of a couple of similar incidents when I was in high school in the late ‘60s. All it takes is a narcissistic personality in a school that worships athletic prowess and you can get trouble. Throw in alcohol and drugs and you’re guaranteed trouble.
But I am gonna be repetitive....lol
Will I live long enough to master smart phones
