Too much dependence on government. I saw that with Katrina. The liberals foster that dependence, then whine when they fail and people are b*tching at them.

Really, I don't need government to tell me to stay home in a blizzard — that is, IF there is a blizzard. But evidently, there are people who need government to them when to go to the can.

In this case there was hardly an dependence on government at all. I didn't see the National Guard called out to rescue motorists stranded on highways, and I didn't hear of any people clamoring for the police to give them a ride home in the snowstorm.

People were asked to stay home so the government wouldn't have to deal with them on the highways during the storm. People stayed home today. Many of them worked at home (like me). It's not like anyone expected a government official to come in and stock their refrigerator, then tuck them into bed last night.
