Hedgefunds? Aren’t they the guys that invest in stuff betting that it will go down in value? Probably a good idea to get out of dodge when most people are buying a stock to gain value, and when it crashes, you are the only guy with any money, perceived to be gained at their loss.
The thing that intersts me is has this prepping always been going on, or has it ramped up recently? Something they know?

But they have not the least idea of WHY John Galt chose to vacate his place in the world. These people are running in fear, for their property, or their lives, or perhaps just something at ephemeral as their reputations.
The Galts of the world are simply disgusted and have given up on the vast majority of the human race and their petty avarice.
Back in the mid-1990s, the Rockies around places such as Vail and Aspen were dotted with multi-million dollar houses mostly unlived in, but guarded and maintained. I figure the owners of them knew something I don’t know...even back then.
