The current rumblings about a "cashless" society are troubling. Currently, I like the anonymity of cash and I typically pay cash for all items under about $200....books, magazines, pharmacy, liquor store, groceries, tips, etc.
What will YOU miss if we lose our traditional currency? (I'll start the ball rolling...)
- How do I pay the neighbor's kid for mowing my lawn?
As long as there is cash the govt will not be able to control the sheep. They have to get rid of cash at all costs.
This was a corner Walgreens, most people trying to buy milk, bread, beer and other food via plastic.
I had baby cold medicine and a pack of diapers, plus cash. As I was the only person out of half a dozen with cash and the cashier had a register but not way to verify plastic cards, I paid and walked out with change.
Well, there IS that... ;)
Yes, cash will be king when the electricity dies and the banks close their doors, and the card companies go dark. I shudder to think of it.
I walked to the store and bought something with cash this morning wearing a parka with the hood up. Can you tell me what I bought?
Many government offices take nothing but cash (eg Recorder’s Office)
100% right about freedom.
That’s a dumb response. You can do better than that!
