DES MOINES, Iowa Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) delivered a fiery speech in Iowa on Saturday, wowing the conservative crowd with a passionate argument for small government and his own lengthy resume.

It could not have been more clear and apparent what was going to happen at that point allowing Willard anywhere near the nomination. I personally was not going down with the ship. That convention should’ve been stormed. The RINO Establishment cheats and steals while Conservatives play by Marquess of Queensberry. That must end.
and if he’s a little bit on the “boring and bland” side, well, so much the better. much of the country swooned for “exciting and sexy” in 2008, and look what that infatuation got us.
I think the american people would love to see quiet competence for a change.
Perry was/is a great big phony, too. A Carter/Gore Democrat who switched parties because he couldn’t win statewide running as one.
Walker fought like hell for 4 years straight to battle leftist attempts to unseat him through extraordinary and cynical means.
He knows how to win.
I’ll give you one enormous thing he has accomplished: Sen. Cruz has readily exposed the TRUE agenda of the Republican Establishment in Washington (and beyond), and the fact they are essentially in bed with their Democrat buddies in expanding big government beyond all comprehension. He blew up the farce and sideshow they tried hiding behind for years pretending to be for something they weren’t. For that, he earned their eternal enmity.
In mere months after taking office, he managed to assume the mantle of a true leader, unbossed and unbought by the establishment (and not designated by the media, as they’re oft to choose the worst and most destructive RINOs, but designated by the people and base of the party and Conservative movement). Both are absolutely remarkable achievements, especially in such a short amount of time.
I don’t disagree at all about the effect of these brazen, monumental lies. I can see it in my paycheck with the outrageous costs that are hurting me and my family.
But to wave a wand and say that millions of people - only a small fraction of whom are landscapers - deserve to occupy and benefit from the United States when they came here against the law knowingly?
Will such an amnesty extend to citizens on a wholesale basis? If not, why not? Why would foreign nationals have more rights then the citizenry?
There are tens of millions of people with petty crimes in their background, will they be the subjects of a general amnesty and/or expungement? And crossing into the US illegally is no petty crime. Have you ever been to Southern Arizona for example, seen the border, understood what it’s like to walk through the desert with armed men leading you, and carrying a backpack of pot or coke, something illegals are caught doing all the time?
It’s a serious thing and they know it. But being from lawless countries, they don’t care. It’s part of their culture.
But we don’t have to aid and abet that attitude. Nor do we want masses of people here inculcating that idea into our national culture, although it’s already happened to a great extent: the U.S. is far more like a Banana Republic then it ever used to be. It is no small part because of them...the illegals and their enablers.
The harm they have caused is the abolition of our nationhood, and the undermining of our national sovereignty by contempt for the borders that bound it.
that’s a whole lotta nuthin’, right there.
but it’s interesting that his big accomplishment was to damage his own party. awesome.
If he doesn’t win the top spot on the ticket, he should stay put in Wisconsin where he’s needed.
Destroying the insidious cancer of leftist/statism and corruption within the GOP (and their unholy bipartisan big government cabal) is of paramount importance and concern. That isn’t “damaging”, that’s called saving (and not just the party, but the republic itself).
Obviously, your agenda and mine (or Cruz’s) aren’t the same.
"...every 6th citizen is a millionaire, which is more than any other country..."Say what?
Perry has spent the bulk of his political career pandering to the ILLEGAL hordes. being pro-amnesty, he is anything but conservative on the issue. Factor in my tagline and the man is a non-starter.
Question: "But just to be clear: if border security is accomplished, you can envision some sort of path to citizenship for people who are here illegally?"
And La Raza Rick Perry's response?
"Sure."
There are others who oppose Cruz's agenda.
Right on, my health care premiums have gone up 30% last year to comply with Obamacare requirements.
Amnesty is a very broad term. There are a thousand varieties of “amnesty”. I am of course totally against granting voting rights to any illegal immigrant, ever. There is a big difference between above amnesty and temporary work permits. I have no problem with non-violent criminals granted 2 year work permits....if those jobs are hard to fill by American citizens. That is exactly what they do in Singapore. Singapore is one of the most prosperous country now after coming out of British rule. Singapore has adopted very practical and sensible laws. There are 2 million foreign workers there doing jobs citizens do not particularly want. Singapore has zero food stamps, zero unemployment compensation. Prosperity is beyond belief. Their airport, hospitals, cruise terminal, underground highways etc make ours look like a third world country.
Walker is pro-Shamnesty. A sure loser.
It has been going on for hundreds of years.
Hmm, I sure the Dem have gone through his personal life with an electron microscope.... So should be no surprises
I was right here when it all unfolded, and I was championing Walker’s candidacy to dump Willard at the convention following his triumphant recall victory. It’s nothing personal against Walker, but Cruz knows where the bodies are buried and where to take aim at in DC. Walker would be behind the curve in that regard (not due to anything bad on his part, he’s been cleaning up the mess in WI).
What a silly and fantasy like comment. You are making up what you think could happen, facts be damned. Put down your adult beverages. No one can just waltz into a convention and win. You have to run in primaries to accumulate delegates and one has to have delegates to win at the convention and almost all states require delegates to honor their commitments to their candidate on at least the first ballot. As you recall, Willard won on the first ballot.
That doesn’t matter, anyhow. They’ll lie and make stuff up to suit the agenda. As someone just mentioned, the SNL/Tina Fey falsehood attributed to Palin, “I can see Russia from my house.”
