When : Always January 24th
Now here's a day that I can really get into! Actually, I can "get into" the stuff inside even more. What this author really appreciates, is a beer can that is full and icy cold.
Beer Can Appreciation Day celebrates that great day in 1935 when beer was first sold in cans.
Okay, laugh if you will. But, believe me when I say that Beer Can Appreciation Day is a big and important day to many people.
A lot of people do not know that there's a huge number of beer can collectors out there. Collectors meticulously open a beer can from the bottom, empty it (and drink the beer, of course), then wash and dry it. For beer can collectors, there is no shortage of types of beer, cans and bottles, and sizes. A beer can collector may have hundreds of cans and bottles.
News You Can Use: There's a market for beer cans. If you come across an old can, do not throw it out. Rather, check out the prices in a collector's catalog, or on Ebay.
Beer Can Appreciation Day provides us with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the many different kinds of beer cans. Enjoy today by starting, or adding to your beer can collection. As you empty the new cans, drink the contents. After all, you don't want to be wasteful do you?
Origin of Beer Can Appreciation Day:
We know that this day celebrates the first time beer as available in cans. We have yet to discover the creator or the origin of Beer Can Appreciation Day. Perhaps the originator opened up a few too many beer cans on the day of creation, and ...uh.... didn't remember the next day.
While the creator may no longer recall creating today, we are so glad he, or she, did!

If you stare at it long enough you can almost see beer.

I have a degree in EE and a minor in Math and I still don’t get it. I guess I need to give back my diploma.
Stupid.
Count the circles. A 6 has 1, an 8 has 2, a 1 has none.
I would’ve *never* figured it out, had it not been for the clue that kids will come up with a quick answer. *Look* for a non-mathematical answer.
“Whiskey’s too ruff.
Champagne costs too much,
vodka puts my mouth in gear.
This little refrain will help me explain, as a matter of fact, I like beer.”

Esoteric comment. But brilliant!
It’s been an unusually hot day in Norway. Inga Swenson has been working in her garden all afternoon.
Inga is not a regular beer drinker, but in this heat, she thinks a beer would really hit the spot. So after cleaning up from her gardening, she walks down the street to the local bar.
Ole, the bar tender greets her “Hi Inga. What can I get you?”, Ole asks.
“Well I tink yust a beer, Ole”, Inga replies.
“Anheuser-Busch?, asks Ole.
“Oh fine tanks, Ole. And hows your weener?”, she replies.
