Do you own an iPhone? Then you're SMARTER than an Android user: Infographic reveals link between education and phone choice
Study found states with more college graduates, such as Alaska and Vermont, have higher iPhone sales
New Mexico, Iowa and Delaware have lowest percentage of iPhone users, and a lower number of graduates
The more densely populated an area, the more chance iPhone sales will be higher, according to the research
Previous study found that iPhone owners are vainer and spend more on clothes than those who have Android
iPhone users have a reputation for being smug and now they may have a good reason.
A recent study has found that people who use an iPhone are smarter than those who prefer Android devices.
This is based on research that found states with more college graduates also tend to have higher iPhone sales.
The study, by Massachusetts-based advertising group Chitika, discovered that Alaska, Montana and Vermont have the largest number of iPhone users in the US.
These states also have the highest percentage of college graduates.
Meanwhile, New Mexico, Iowa and Delaware have the lowest percentage of people who use iPhones, and a lower number of graduates.

I wouldn’t use a psychics course as a model for grammar.
The data implies something. You infer something from the data.
More like Apple and fags.
Correlation does not equal causation.
As a college graduate and iphone user, I say the conclusions drawn from this “study” are a load of crap.
I HATE CORPORATIONS!
* sent from my iPhone
An article written by Millenials, for Millenials, to make Millenials feel superior as they prepare my order at Wendy's.
Aside from the relative merits of the devices, the idea of tying intelligence to having a college degree is ludicrous. Lots of idiots scrape out a degree and many very smart people don’t go to college because they have no need to.
I have a Windows phone too.
I've been an iPhone user for 5 years. If I were to ever switch, it wouldn't be to Google-spyware Android - I'd go with a Windows phone long before that.
...or, they use an iphone because iphones are issued by their employer even though they would rather not have a cell phone at all.
LoL,
Nice one ,Sarge!
So college graduate=smarter? Not necessarily...
Actually, in and of itself, data imply nothing.
People can infer things from data and they can use data to imply things, but data can do nothing by themselves.
Oops, memory like a sieve. :)
I gotta admit, Im cheap that way, myself. Then I went and blew the savings on a 5K iMac. I spend so much time FReeping, why not have the best display I can??
“This is age related BS. “
Age related alright, childish nonsense. Typical Apple kids.
I have a macbookpro and some older macs, and an appletv but I have android tablets, 3 windows computers an android phone and a blackberry I have no intention of buying an ipad or iphone
Both of my daughters (one teenager, one adult) have asked for flip phones because of all the hacking that has been happening to “Smart” phones. They decided they do not need or want the possible “unwanted” exploitation of anything they decide to take a picture of.
I think the link between formal education and intelligence has stretched almost to the breaking point these days.
A fool and his/her money are soon parted.
