You probably looked pretty cool.
The eight hair styles at the top of this article: You’d think #1 would be a scary, shady character. But all the serial killers wore style number 7.
I’m from the late 60s and early 70s. If I want to see those styles today all I have to do is go to any town with a large college or university.
. The factory thing...well, in the 80s, the 60s/70s types adopted the tight shirts and kept the know bra look and proved gravity is a bitch.
When I was 17 I had a job in a hip clothing store. Sometimes I was asked to bring things right into the dressing rooms. One day I went into one to help a lady who to me was old, but probably 35 or less. Long black hair, probably an ex hippie. On her chest were two long empty envelopes of skin hanging down that scared me to death! Was that going to happen to all of us??
Gravity takes its toll, but no, that does not happen to all of us, in fact of everyone I’ve ever seen, hers was the worst example. Whew.
I wore those ditto jeans when I was a kid! Those were great!
This movie short called, “Dub Step Guns” has the boss man looking like he stepped out of the ‘70s.

Where’s the Mullet?
My hair was shorter than upper right, short sideburns and I didn’t own bell bottoms.
I reckon I wasn’t fashioable.
Wow! Hello! Must have been fun...
Ah, the age of the blow drier. What did they call it? When hair gel went out of style I believe it was called the dry look?
The 70’s were only horrible for cars. Everything else was great.
Lol. I guess I cut them too short, summer in NY hot and humid, cut off the bells but did not actually mean to go that high.
Loved my Ditto saddle backs!
I hairdressed for 42 years...best years of my life (1962 to 2004)...loved every day I went to work...made life long friends...
so different today but still a great career...
My daughter followed in my foot steps, only to work a few years, she wanted more money and less work!!!!
but she and I still ‘play beauty shop’ when we get together. she can still give a killer haircut.
Stewart’s voice worked sometimes. Gasoline Alley had some good stuff. Wood still bugs me though. He’s not a good guitar player. Way over-rated. I know 20 guys in Cleveland that could kick his butt off the stage. But I sure do miss my girlfriend Coleena and her micro-mini skirts! Wow!
Fascinating and yet depressing to see the human body decay like that. Also, goes to show that men age like wine and women age like milk.
