It’s NOT a good rule.
Anyone who’s ever played CATCH with a football knows: THAT, was a catch.
As I said, I have HATED this rule... passionately... since they first came up with it. Some fine catches have been over-turned because of it. Including, yesterday... with the game on the line, one of the BEST catches in the history of pro football.
It’s a travesty. A National Disgrace.... on par with Obama not going to Paris!
This week, I am sure that Packer fans like the rule...if it happens to Nelson or Cobb next week, they won’t like it.
Football has become over-officiated to the point it’s becoming unwatchable.
It’s not a karma thing. The correct call was made yesterday. Last week was not.
But, that one issue doesn’t mean Detroit wins the game, in fact, the probability to win for Detroit only dropped a small amount after that play. So tosay that Dallas mde the game versus the Packers on that one call is a bit disingenuous.
Odds are Rodgers takes GB right down the field and score anyway with little time left on the clock.
I think it was a mistake for the Cowboys to go long on that 4th and 2. Get the first down, milk the clock to leave GB with less time should the Cowboys go ahead.
Only one observation from me. Either the Cowboys got robbed or the Sea hawks were given the game. Two identical catches and fumbles. One ruled complete and the other not. What’s up with that?
Ooops, my bad. I meant the Colts were given the game while the Cowboys lost theirs.
I’m not a Colts fan (although I do live near the team HQ) but I didn’t see them getting many gifts, I thought they outplayed both Cincy and Denver pretty convincingly.
I won’t quibble with that. I just thought it really odd that in one game it’s a catch and in the other it was a fumble. I do think in the Cowboys game it cost them the game.
SEA!!!!
And New England (but go Colts!!)
Pats by 3 or 4
Seahawks by 7 to 10
Not sure who to pull for now that my team is out. I guess the colts so Luck can get a ring. I think I’m rooting for the AFC in the superbowl regardless, would rather not see the seahawks repeat ...but I think it’s highly likely.
Broncos and Fox part ways.
Seems to indicate that Manning will indeed retire.
And Fox must be on the Bear’s radar now.
Manning played with an injury since Dec 14.
As everyone suspected, he was not right.
Hey Broncs, want Cutler back. ;d
Yeah just kidding.....
He should be! Gomer’s injured; he was good prior to the that. It’s not Fox”s fault Gomer was injured. Anti-Italian, as**ole Broncos.
Stupid Rexy should have maybe waited a day. Turd. Enjoy failure in BUF.
In other news, the White Sox have avoided arbitration with Dayan Viciedo by agreeing to a one-year, $4.4MM pact.
Or Kyle Orton.
The Orioles have avoided arbitration with RHP Tommy Hunter. He will earn $4.65M next year.
His Cuban a$$ will probably be traded.
Probably. Maybe even back to Cuba.
I am really wanting to get John Fox. I know the fair weather bums say he was outcoached by Carroll and he was. However, he beat the snot out of Lovie Smith when we played the Panthers in the playoffs in 2005.
“I know the fair weather bums say he was outcoached by Carroll and he was.”
No one, especially “Mr. One and Done, ‘Greatest QB Eva’” was beating SEA in the last SB.
“I am really wanting to get John Fox.”
Fox is a good (not great) coach; he’d be the best CHI’s had in years. Unless CHI’s ID’d the next John (yes, John) Harbaugh-type of HC, Fox is the best available.
I think it’s pretty damning that DEN fired their “hot” coordinator, Adam Gase. Hmmm. I have no idea WTH Elway’s doing.
