Idol will continue for one more season, but I won't be able to join the ride. There are other things I have to be focused on now. But I want all of you to know it has been my absolute pleasure to host these threads for the last 10 years. We started out as anonymous screen names, then quickly became real names and real friends--best friends in some cases.

I'll always treasure our friendships, and I hope they'll continue even without the thread.

Maybe we can laugh at something else down the road. I'd like that :)

I can't sum up in a few paragraphs what you mean to me. Just know, you're very important to me and I love ya.

We all know Idol was corkscrewing in.

And, so much as I ADORE the regular posters here, the numbers were fewer and fewer.

The quality of the judges dropped to zero and, based on this year, the quality of the performers hit an all-time low.

We knew the producers were pre-picking the story lines they wanted, talent be damned.

This sad end has been in the cards — a downward spiral.

I’m sorry I haven’t been around much the last couple of years or so. I have also been focusing on other projects (my screenwriting group meets on Wednesday nights) so I have sympathy for your need to reclaim some time for other things.
