I recall reading that most M.D.s who are given a cancer diagnosis will forego chemo, just get their affairs in order and spend time with family/friends.
One of my best friends has endured multiple rounds of chemo and radiation (plus surgery) for GBM, the most common and aggressive form of brain cancer. Median survival for individuals with that disease (who undergo treatment) is 15 months; my friend has lived for more than three years, and he gives all the credit to God. I can’t disagree.
