I recall reading that most M.D.s who are given a cancer diagnosis will forego chemo, just get their affairs in order and spend time with family/friends.

Of course! Normal chemo is worse than useless, it destroys the immune system completely, removing any hope of long term survival.

A form of chemo called Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT), that uses less than 1/20th of the normal dose, often does help, but not in conjunction with radiation.
