Well, my little hut sits at the foot of the Absaroka Mountains, so I don’t entirely lack in visual splendor.

But I sure as hell do lack in photography skills (and p.c. skills as well)!

So you’ll just have to take my word...again thanks for your shots.

Indeed. Those may be low country photos and folks but it looks a lot like the north woods too. Absolutely loved the ‘camp fire’ Man that boiler was roaring like the tail of Saturn V

When you live in a concrete jungle like I do, anything like that looks wonderful to you.

There are people in the USA who enjoy live where ever they live, you just have to look.

Every place I have been, I have met decent people, every place I have been, you can find beauty, you just have to look a little harder in some places than others.

If you get far enough off any interstate you find people who have more in common than their differences.

Up north I found a lot of people working part time to pay electric bills and or gas but almost all their food came from the woods, rivers and lakes. I had a neighbor go out and buy me a decent used S-10 pickup truck simply because he knew I needed it and couldn’t afford it. He said he called in some favors to get it and if I would remember him when he needed me we would consider it even.

Never mind I was thinking of another pic.

They’re using shotguns so I’m assuming some kind of fowl.

“There is a huge lesson there, and likely why liberals love congested cities so much.”

Exactly what lesson?

I’ve always loved cities and am no liberal.

Exact opposite of inner city. There is a huge lesson there, and likely why liberals love congested cities so much.

Actually I appreciate both. Cities like Manhattan, Chicago and London are beautiful in their own ways.

I guess if you’re not born in NYC, it has some attraction to you. I hate when tourists stop in the middle of everything to take pictures. Every single time I’m in Manhattan, I see it all over the place.

Without looking,I guess you mean what the Mexicans call a chiminera if made of pottery; metal outdoor fireplaces (likely made in China) are sold by many American stores like Lowes and Home Depot.Check the garden department. An “improvement” over gathering around the campfire.I can see the attraction of a warm blaze while sitting outside on a cool evening. My neighbors have had a shallow firepit surrounded by nice large flat stones from the “crick” for maybe 25 years ‘nothing like a bunch of good friends sitting around telling raunchy stories, drinking alcohol, and doing a bit of pistol shooting ! I am glad pistol ammo generally hasn’t the range of rifle ammo.500 yards and lots of trees makes me feel a bit safer.
