Ndamukong Suh will pay a steep price for his fancy footwork in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL has suspended the Lions' defensive tackle for one game for stepping on the leg of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the league announced Monday. Suh will not be available for Sunday's NFC wild card game against the Dallas Cowboys.

"You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and

Good to know other fellow Lions fans feel the same way.

I say he needs a heavy dose of his own medicine while the refs & commission look the other way.

Suh’s mother, Bernadette (née Lennon) Suh, an elementary school teacher, was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and is a graduate of Southern Oregon University. His father, Michael Suh, is from Cameroon and played semi-pro soccer in Germany while working as a machinist. They met and married in Portland, Oregon in 1982, after Michael Suh was admitted to a Portland trade school. Although his father is only 5 ft 8 in, Suh's great-grandfather, also named Ndamukong Suh, stood 7 ft 3 in. In the Ngemba language of Cameroon, Ndamukong means "House of Spears".

Suh has been criticized in the media and by other players for his aggressive style of play and has been fined a total of $216,875 by the league for four violations in the first four years in his career. In a poll of fellow players conducted by the Sporting News, Suh was named "the dirtiest player" in the NFL. As of December 2011, he had been flagged for nine personal fouls in his first two years, the most of any player in the league in that time frame. He was named the NFL's "Least-Liked Player" in a Forbes-publicized Nielsen report in October 2012.

Good on you. Players like this cost the team and its fans lots of games in the long run. He might have just blew the Cowboy game as did Rialto did the Green Bay game. WTF good did those shenanigans do?
Get rid of him. Lots of very good prospects up in the draft to replace him.

Reminds me of Conrad Dobler and Dick Butkus. Whatever you can do to help the team...legal or not. I remember QB’s telling of Butkus trying to bite their fingers off. Too bad, anyway, Lions have a gunslingers shot with Stafford. Wouldn’t surprise me if Lions win.

Nonsense! Why would he intentionally risk spraining his own ankle by trying to step on someone he is not even looking at? This is getting ridiculous! He should be in the Dallas Palyoff game and without him Dallas has a huge advantage.

............I don’t think you and I are watching the same video.

I can’t PROVE what was in the guys mind but what I saw is persuasive.

Add to that his record and oh well!

The opposing players know how to handle the problem if they want to. When they get enough, they will take care of it.

and I’m a dyed in the wool Packers Fan since the days of Bar Starr

The charges against him are the PC version of NFL foolishness.

My best friend is from Wisconsin and a diehard Packer fan and on the way to volleyball this morning, he said the very same thing. This charge against Suh is absolutely ridiculous.......

Lessee, what did they say Stafford's record was on the road vs playoff-caliber teams?

Oh, yeah. Oh-and-16...

Yes, I agree, Suh is the worst offender but there is plenty more thuggish behavior going on that flies under the radar. I don’t want them to take the violence out of the game, I want them to take the bad sportsmanship aka thuggery out of the game.

Agreed, he could have ruined the career of Rodgers.

No fan of GB, but he is the best quarterback I have seen in many a year.

Interesting to hear Packers fans defending Suh, could it be because they want Detroit to beat Dallas?

I will agree with you that no power on earth can PROVE what was in the guy’s mind at the moment he stepped on the opposing players leg.

But, it was very persuasive and this is what “judges” do............make judgments. In this case the “judges” are the NFL and apparently they believe he did it on purpose.

With his record, I agree that “most likely” he did do it purposefully.

Being suspended for a playoff game is HARSH, especially for the team!

It will never stop unless the team makes it so it hurts too much to be a thug to make it worthwhile to him....somebody ought to go all Tonya Harding on him and see how he likes it.

I don’t keep up with football like I used to.

I started losing interest back when they began wearing that pink crap during October, and got heavier into the PC crap. Before that, I was a die hard fan. My uncle had me being a Cowboys fan when I was barely old enough to walk. Landry was the coach.

This is the first year where I haven’t watched a game all season. I’ve just lost interest in it for the most part, but I follow it a little. Of course, when I go and ask what I admit is probably a dumb question on the Internet, and naturally there will be someone to give me hell for it.

I don’t care. lol

He had absolutely no reaction to the yells of Rodgers as he was stepping on him. Didn't even respond when Rodgers shoved him. Can't tell me he did not hear Rodgers.
