Ndamukong Suh will pay a steep price for his fancy footwork in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL has suspended the Lions' defensive tackle for one game for stepping on the leg of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the league announced Monday. Suh will not be available for Sunday's NFC wild card game against the Dallas Cowboys.
"You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and

that was in 2003.
The thing is, the Cowboys could be in the market for Suh in the off-season. Their one missing piece is a dominant pass rusher/run stopper, and Suh could fill that nicely, even with all the baggage.
Are you calling Aaron Rodgers a person of low character...?
While I live outside Detroit, I haven't been a Lions fan for decades and in fact my favorite team has for the most part been the Packers.
I know fully well that Suh has had a problem with excessive "violence" on the field and have supported all the league penalties that have been leveled against him.
But this one? No frickin way!
This video on NFL.com proves nothing. Show me the entire closeup video of the play............
He has. In 2011 he was in a car accident (single car) where he was ticketed and ended up paying $130K to one of the female passenger. He was cited for speeding, improper signaling and not carrying proof of insurance. Reports say he initially lied to police. There have been other reckless driving type incidents as well, and a pellet gun incident.
So he ain't no saint off the field either.
I didn’t see the game but I’ve seen the replays of this. 99.9% sure that was on purpose.
This won’t help his free-agency next year.
But as others have said, Suh has long ago used up getting ‘the benefit of the doubt.’
I am a lifelong Lions fan. Suh is a thug and a bum, and should be banned for the year, which in the Lions’ case, means one game. lol He should be charged with assault.
The line forms to the left.
I don't think that includes every player.
Is that your opinion based on the video shown on this NFL.com website?
Personally I find it a bit odd that with all the cameras in the stadium, they cherry picked specific segments of a video angle to make their case........
The larger sequence was shown twice during the game last evening. Suh is looking down field, not down at Rogers on the ground at his feet. He steps backwards unaware of Rogers (and I’m a dyed in the wool Packers Fan since the days of Bar Starr) behind him as he steps on the man’s leg. He did not stomp on him like he did the previous foul to another player in a previous game. The charges against him are the PC version of NFL foolishness.
....And what does posting such remarks make of you?
He is a free agent next year so I believe he will be someone else’s problem next year. We, in Detroit, are better fans than that and will be glad to see him gone.
This is just a symptom of a larger problem that the NFL needs to address which includes players intentional laying on opponents, raking across them, landing on their lower legs, etc when it is not necessary. If they would throw the flag sooner they would discourage more egregious behavior late like this Suh incident.
It means I can spot a non fan - because any football fan would know who Suh is.
As for the cowboys, like the Yankees and the Lakers and so on, they have a lot of so called “fans” who know nothing about the game. Don’t take it personally - the Cowboys are America’s Team - so they probably have more “non fan” fans than any other team. It’s a compliment to the Cowboys....tho maybe not so much to those non fan fans.....
No, Suh is in a class by himself.
Matter of degree IS important. Is Suh the only one? No - but he’s way way way out in front of everybody else.
Lots of fainting-couch types around here.
It wasn’t the JFK shooting, just a bit of cheeky, dirty play that has been celebrated after the fact by practitioners and victims alike in the NFL over the years. Lighten up.
dang!............with that record, I have come to agree with some on this thread that the guy should just be banned before he hurts someone bad!
