At a press conference Monday afternoon, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio repeated his request that demonstrators in the city put aside protests until after the funerals of the two police officers ambushed and executed in their patrol car Saturday. Naturally, when video shows marchers chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops!” during the recent #MillionsMarchNYC, it’s not hard to believe that many protesters weren’t sympathetic to the mayor’s request.

Somehow, I don’t think all TPTB are disappointed with this turn of events.
I don’t know, but as the old saying goes, play with fire, and the fire can very well spread beyond your control. In this case, the left created a fire for the sake of appeasing the fringe left. And now, they are coming around saying, “just kidding”, while the rest of us realize that they started a major forest fire, that is now beyond their control.

I would actually construct an official protest area for all future protests. A nice large area, clear borders, area for the media, the whole nine yards. No businesses anywhere nearby - they can march and carry signs and chant until the cows come home. Protests not allowed in the business area. I may even throw in a door prize - a couple of large screen tvs just so they feel like it’s worth coming out.
