Whether you agree with his politics or not, and despite being vilified by the left for the better part of eight years, theres no doubting that George W. Bush is a class act.
The former president, dressed as Santa, visited the Dallas Childrens Medical Center recently to spread a little Christmas cheer with the young patients. And just as he does in his many activities with wounded veterans, Bush did so sans media.

That’s true except when he bows to certain foreign powers.
Biggest, baddest-a55 elf ever.
Class act.
? I don’t see anything?
Selfless, but not Elfless.
(alleged) disabled vets???
Why the “(alleged)”? I’m not aware of any reports that the people Bush ran or bicycled with were anything other than legitimate veterans with disabling combat injuries. Did I perhaps miss something? Or are you referring to Bush’s security people who accompanied them?
I miss President Bush even though I didnt always like his policies.
...
He has some good qualities, but he was an oppressive Ruling Class president who ushered in a new era of Big Government and Obama. I wish he would have stuck with baseball.
Ha, Jeb dresses as an elf!
But IMHO when even people I don't like do something extraordinarily positive for others, the act should be acknowledged and appreciated. President Bush has done so much for a variety of causes, including veterans and wounded soldiers. Visiting sick children in the hospital as Santa Claus is yet another of his charitable acts for others. These acts are done from the heart, not for publicity.
Can you imagine the Chicago thug in the White House visiting wounded soldiers or sick children? The only time he cares about any of the peasants is when he's on one of his taxpayer funded campaign trips and only because the they make good props for Obama’s photo ops.
There is a big difference between the two. President Bush may be wrong about a lot of things, but he conducts himself with class and compassion. You'll never see either quality in the current occupant of the White House. Both qualities are in short supply nowadays, so when we do see them, it's remarkable.
The party hasn’t been the party of Reagan since President Reagan left office.
...
Sadly I’ve discovered that the GOP was never the party of Reagan. They disliked him before, during and after his presidency, and have gone to great lengths to purge Reaganism out of the party and to hinder the development of anyone like him.
Reagan won because he appealed directly to the people, rather than relying on the party.
I think you missunderstand the (alleged) disabled....people with a handicap (the vets in this case) many times don’t allow themselves to be “disabled” and want no special treatment and take it as a point of pride....you show them respect when you compete with them and cut them no slack....in other words you’re not patronizing
That may very well be the case. I may have completely misread the intent there.
The use of the word “alleged”, though, is very commonly used to indicate that something’s not provably true.
Amen.
NO we did not get Obama because of Bush, we got Obama from the NWO...who makes decisions on who runs as they try to manipulate. That 2008 election was stolen by ACORN, and the left, including Lehman Bros who went down for the cause.
Kissinger stood in Moscow in 2008 and said Obama won to bring in the NWO. It was already a shadow government, but now they are ready to be a global controller and Zero is the puppet.
I agree he is a guy with class. I admire him personally. I was far less thrilled with his policies, although I voted for him twice. I will not vote for his brother.
But yes, GWB strikes me a a very good guy. He can stop by my place for burgers and a beer anytime.
No understand the concept i lost an arm at 14 and made a point of not being handicapped...
I meant no disrespect ... I was trying to not categorize overcomers as disabled
Got it. Thanks. I misinterpreted what you were saying, sorry.
