Gavin Grimm and the ACLU argue that the Gloucester County School Board violated Title IX when it approved a rule restricting school restrooms to students with corresponding biological genders.
A transgender teenager in rural Virginia is taking his case to the U.S. Department of Justice, arguing in a complaint that the Gloucester County School Board violated his rights by approving a policy this month prohibiting students from using restrooms that do not correspond to their biological genders.
The complaint, sent Thursday, argues the school board ran afoul of Title IX, a 1972 law that bans gender-based discrimination, which has been interpreted recently to protect students from discrimination based on their gender identify.

That “boy” squats to pee. I’d think he’d take more crap in the boys’ locker room than in the girls’.
“Couldn´t he go to the bathroom for HANDICAP”
He had the option of using the nurse’s office or the unisex bathroom. He said it was humiliating for him to be seen going into the unisex bathroom.
Simple!
For starters, quit mis-using the word “gender”.
One can certainly be a feminine-gendered male, or a masculine-gendered female...but ones sex is nearly always male or female, and generally doesn’t change of its own accord.
She is not a he.
Her. No matter what this kid calls herself, she’s still a “her” not a “he”.
Oh dear..

“So the next time Im in a restaurant, store, mall or hospital I can use the ladys room? I did not know that.”
Just make sure you keep the seat down. Don’t lift it no matter what you’re doing.
their gender identify.

ah would that be “their gender identity or identification” ???
OK well back in 1972 that referred to people who were biological identified as one gender or another...
as in if it had the sex organs of a female it was female...
if it had the sex organs of a male it was male...
so the males go to the males/boys bathroom/restroom/toilet
if its built as a female it goes to the little girls bathroom/restroom/toilet...
is the problem this “him” is biologically a “her” ???
Be gentle...I’m old and I cant keep up...
My underwear is sometimes a “Klinger” after I’ve exited a rest room, is that what you meant?
Can they post gene signs on the restrooms instead of boy and girl?
XX bathroom
XY bathroom
I believe that has been ruled on in the past not sure I maybe confusing it with another issue.
