Beavers are contributing to climate change, adding an estimated 800 million kg of methane to the atmosphere every year, scientists have found.

Over the last century, there has been a worldwide conservation effort to save beavers from extinction. The fur trade between the 16th and 19th century almost led to the annihilation of beavers across the globe.

Somebody once posted a picture of a highway exit sign, for Big Beaver Road.

It was exit 69 as I recall, on Big Beaver Road.

And, speaking of beaver jokes, I remember in one of the Naked Gun movies, it looked like Leslie Nielsen was looking up a girl’s dress, and he said “some beaver”, but the girl was pulling a stuffed beaver out of an attic door on the ceiling.
