We add pig’s blood to halal food and not to kosher food. /s

I would not at all be surprised as to this being the reason. They are extremely petty, use gang type, goon squad tactics, then shriek about being victimized. Good for Lindt. If you don’t approve of they way we make our chocolates, then go elsewhere. You don’t (yet!) have the right to say I cannot do business at all.

One is a ritual sacrifice to glorify a false god and the other is more about what is permitted to eat, and a blessing for the consumer.

My wife & I were just wondering whether this chocolate was “haram”, so it wouldn’t be surprising.

As far as we’re concerned, this bunch can all go to Halal…

I heard someone speculating that there was probably a different target in the area (Their Fed is right across the street) and when that fell apart, this guy just decided to “go rogue.”

It did not seem to be planned very well. Persians invented chess. This guy did not do much to enhance the image of Persians as smart.

“What is the main difference between Halal and Kosher?”

There is a host of differences. Neither camel milk, tiger meat nor shellfish are kosher, but I believe they all can be halal. Alcohol can be kosher, but not halal.

There are some similarities: Neither blood, carrion nor pork can be kosher or halal.

I know kosher meat, aside from being Scripturally clean, the animal is killed in a way that minimizes its suffering.

Neither camel milk, tiger meat nor shellfish are kosher, but I believe they all can be halal.

That line reminded me of a very good priest friend of mine who passed away a few years ago. He had spent seven years in Lebanon.

Using his best fake serious tone:
Camel is permitted, but NOT recommended.

I know kosher meat, aside from being Scripturally clean, the animal is killed in a way that minimizes its suffering.

And halal killing maximizes it. Spiritually and biologically, halal is designed to put terror into meat.
