3- ...CONF REC
4- ...COMMON GAMES
SOV = Strength of Victory
XXX = no tie is possible.
explained in detail ELSEWHERE in this thread
The bold ones are clinched tiebreakers.
Also, lower case indicates a lead, but not a clinch.
example GB vs DAL: gb-L3,Lsov dal-L4
MEANS DAL leads in Common games. GB leads in CONF record and Strength of Victory.
ATL VS N.O.: ATL-2. Atlanta has clinched tiebreaker over Saints due to DIV record
Dallas beat Seattle therefore the 2-way tie breaker would favor Dallas.
well, you can see that PHIL vs DAL is going down to #4 Common Games which PHIL has clinched.
AZ vs GB would go down to Strength of Victory. AZ has a slight lead currently.
DALLAS just clinched common games with GB, cuz PHIL was a common opponent.
gb-L3,Lsov dal-L4
is now:
gb-L3,Lsov DAL-4
Was that Chris Christie sitting in the Cowboy’s owner’s box?
The season's not over yet. This chart assumes that teams have identical win/loss records at the end of the season. Some teams have a tougher schedule than others, and won't be tied with their rivals.
After KC plays Pittsburgh at home next week, they'll be getting their recliners ready to watch the playoffs on TV
Was that Chris Christie sitting in the Cowboys owners box?

Yes. CC has been a lifelong Cowboys fan.
I’m with you. That tie breaker chart is way more than I care to decipher.
it’s an easy one.
look down PITT. they have tiebreaker vs everyone except
- Miami due to common games (4)
- KC. due to Head to head and Strength of victory.
and against SD: PItt is leading CONF record, but haven’t clinched.
I love Dallas but they’re biggest problem is not being able to win at home. Makes no sense whatsoever. If Indy beats them next weekend and Philly beats a very weak Redskins team Philly is right back in first place. If Dallas wins their next two and Seattle wins their next two, which is almost certain, Dallas has homefield advantage through the playoffs. But really what difference does it mean unless Dallas can prove they can win at home. That Seattle defense is clicking on all cylinders. Seattle can win anywhere. If I were a betting man I would bet on Seattle playing the Pats in the Super Bowl, with Seattle winning their second straight.
Dallas lost 3 of the games due to injuries.
Interesting considering that part of his state is in the Philadelphia fan area.
I would love to see Dallas win the Super Bowl. I didn’t know about the injuries although I did know Romo has been playing hurt all year.
