From Apples forthcoming smartwatch to the Fitbit, there is fierce competition to get consumers hooked on wearable devices. And soon there will be a bracelet that turns your skin into a touchscreen using a tiny built-in projector. Wearers of the of the Cicret bracelet will be able to check an email or watch a film thats projected onto their forearm, and control the picture by using their skin like a touchscreen.

I hate that I spent about 20 seconds trying to remember what ARM stood for.
this is fake
the shadows cast by ones hand....on the image on the arm will be very distracting.......
other problems such as the aforementioned arm hair and shadows may come to mind...
scam comes to mind I can tell you that
I can imagine what new injuries physical therapists are going to start seeing from people spending hours banging on their arm keyboards. Thining skin, nerve damage, atrophy of the forearm muscles.
Or a black one. Seems racist to me.

They will probably break their forearms on the FR Civil War threads alone!
To me, this is just concept artwork and nothing more.
Nice concept, though.
Kinda eliminates the full sleeve tat crowd from their Facebook and Twitter sites.
Then again, on the othet hand so to speak, projecting a slide show on one’s arm could eliminate a few cases of hepatitis and a whole lot of god-how-drunk-was-I-when-I-did-that morning after regrets.
So now I have to worry about one of the “HandsupdontshootIcantbreath” crowd cutting my arm off for the phone?
Armed with information...
seems like it would have a better chance of working on a forearm and with two braclets instead of one with the image displayed between the two (this would fix the issue with you finger blocking the displayed image)
I think it could work with the right team and a mega budget, and likely be the ‘killer’ device that wearable devices have been begging for. Doubt any place that is begging for paypal donations is going to be the right team.
Only if they're smart, they're using the reflected information from the finger to detect exactly where the finger is on the 'screen'. The blocking of the light is in that case a requirement. I would imagine that a second band would be a nightmare coordinating the displays so they properly overlap. Heck, just keeping the band in place so you can display on a relatively flat surface will be more than a bit of a challenge.
digital tattoos.... whodda thunk it...?
I think it’s a hoax.

“But what if you have a hairy arm, like me?”
Try duct tape. Put it on then yank. If that don’t get it a propane torch will take it right off.
True american ingenuity. I wish I had thought of that - In that case I’ll get one.
Actually what if I just covered my hairy forearm with duct tape and just left it there - that would make a nice projection screen. Do they make white duct tape with a reflective surface?
