I thought it has long been the habit of some to hang predators, i.e. wolves, coyotes, on fences, etc. to ward of other such predators. I wonder just how long Mary Ellen Siegford has lived in Montana and if she is a recent liberal import.

Critters die in the country side all the time and get cleaned up by them.

Up in a remote mountain range in the Great Basin, I came across a deer leg (strung by twine) hanging from a juniper limb. There was a homemade sign on the tree that read: Bambi Leg Camp.

Nothing else there.

You'll stumble across a lot of peculiar things when you spend time in the sticks...

It is 37 degrees in Plains Montana. It is not likely to decay vary rapidly, like in Summer. Right now Montana is pretty much like putting it in your ice box.

I like the “animal cruelty” part. Hanging an already dead animal is now “cruel”.
