To: Brother Cracker

The other day they showed one of the most infuriating episodes. An observation post accidentally reveals Starfleet to people at about the US American Indian level of progress, circa 17th Century. Of course, they take him for a god (after violating the Prime Directive in ways that even outdid Kirk).

Picard spent half the episode lamenting and lecturing about the return to religion and the SAVAGERY that comes along with religion and belief in God. I think he called it a “return to the dark ages.”

It was disgusting and insulting.

A lot of Picard is infuriating.

JMS may be an atheist but I thought Babylon 5 was very fair in the religious aspect given the way TV is. Firefly did ok from what I remember.

I watched the entire series when it first aired, even thought it was soapy.

In the opening, Picard would announce ‘while on our way to something exciting, we slowed to have a PC dull episode about the screwed up teleporter or holodeck.’

At least Voyager did have more action.
