While this approximately 400-meter sized asteroid has a three-year orbital period around the sun and returns to the Earths neighborhood periodically, it does not represent a threat because its orbital path does not pass sufficiently close to the Earths orbit
Any statements about risk for impact of discovered asteroids and comets should be verified by scientists and the media by accessing NASAs Near Earth Object (NEO) program web site.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both.)

    lol... orbits can change...
And our dear president messing with Israel is an effective way to “pray” for change...
YES IT CAN!

lol... orbits can change... No, orbits cannot change. Something has to change them. So unless you want to point out something that can or is changing this particular orbit, it cannot change.
 Cannot.

A near-miss of something that big could certainly whiff off a chunk of our atmosphere :(

We need another government program to save us from rogue asteroids.

Actually, it would be more like the Chelyabinsk meteor.

I call dibs on it deorbiting over NY!

When I see a government-issued statement like this I think the opposite must be the truth. Then, I realize that it may be a simple reverse reverse logic sort of thing and it's in fact a truth setting me up for a lie. Then I remember black ops and how double-triple-quadruple reverse logic they are oriented and I forget the question.

Wonder how NASA's religious outreach to include more muslims is going?

    Something has to change them.

Exactly. It would have to make a pretty close pass by something with considerable gravity to change the orbit much.

 Or Something Else.
To: Resettozero
Either a close pass or hitting something large enough to alter its orbit.
Both are pretty unlikely.

Or a Third Option unacknowledged as yet.

It’s the bill for public retirment pensions coming due and it’s a planet killer.

Too bad if you already have 25 years of monthly payments invested but are still far too young to cash out beforehand.
To: Resettozero
In the past public workers would stack multiple pensions up and would go into the newest jog with seniority.

Too bad. I was hoping for a direct hit on Washington DC.
